Humanists working with entrepreneurship
28 percent of start-ups at UCPH have humanists at the helm. Students get help from the University to get started, and they can do an internship in their own company – with ECTS credits.
The Danish government would like to see many more businesses spring from the universities. The University of Copenhagen produces hundreds of entrepreneurs a year. In 16 years, the University's researchers, students and graduates have set up more than 4,600 businesses.
At UCPH, humanities students have the highest degree of entrepreneurship. The students get help with their business from idea to execution in the form of financial and legal guidance, sparring, contacts with other entrepreneurs and support through the start-up process. When the business is in place, the students do an internship in their own business.
