Boring ved Camp Century

I dag skulle vi bore en 30 m lang iskerne og udtage overfladeprøver til en dybde af 2 m ved Camp Century.

Grundfjeld!!!

Efter nogle få kørsler uden gennemboring og med totalt nedslidte skær, var vi enige om at boringen var kommet til en afslutning! Vi fejrede det med et glas champagne

Sne, fygning og lange iskerner

I dag vågnede lejren op til en noget mere blæsende dag end vi længe har haft. Det sneede, og som vinden tiltog fik vi også en del fygning.

På sporet igen

Efter at boret satte sig fast i søndags og det meste af mandagen gik med at rense borehullet, er det dejligt at se friskborede iskerner igen.
