Jørn Vestergaard acting Dean at the Faculty of Law
The University of Southern Denmark announced today that Henrik Dam, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, will be the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Denmark as of 1 February 2014. Associate Dean, professor of Criminal Law Jørn Vestergaard will be acting Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen.
Henrik Dam has been employed by the University of Copenhagen since 1991, first as a research scholarship holder, later as assistant professor, associate professor and Associate Dean. As of 1 July 2006, Henrik Dam was Dean of the Faculty of Law.
- Henrik Dam has reformed law studies including teaching methods with great skill. He has contributed to legal research coming to the fore i.a. by attracting a Centre of Excellence. I thank him for a very good working relationship, says Vice-Chancellor Ralf Hemmingsen, adding that the University of Copenhagen is looking forward to continuing its close co-operation with the University of Southern Denmark.
The position as Dean of the Faculty of Law will be advertised. Both students and employees of the Faculty of Law will be on the assessment committee.
Professor of Criminal Law Jørn Vestergaard will be acting Dean of the Faculty of Law as of 1 February 2014. Jørn Vestergaard has been Associate Dean of the Faculty since 1 July 2006.
