New university ranking

Yet another university ranking was published this week. The British magazine Times Higher Education has entered into a collaboration with the publisher Thompson Reuters on a new world ranking of universities. The University of Copenhagen is placed as number 177.

The ranking is based on a new methodology that distinguishes itself by adding emphasis to the financial framework of the universities: Public and private funding, commercialisation of research and education funding. Scientific citations are also highly rated and there is a new focus on number of PhD's.
